Yard Sale

The weather couldn’t have been much better for the 4th annual Prospect Street Yard Sale!  


Because when you live in a community full of graduate and professional students sometimes you get to play with leftover dry ice from someone’s lab!

Sewing Machine

Did you know that there is a sewing machine at the swap room available for any resident to use?  Esplanade hosted a workshop to teach residents some basic machine sewing skills.

Egg Drop Challenge

How are your design skills?  Residents of all ages got a chance to stretch their creative muscles and see who’s egg could be dropped from the greatest height without being broken.


Helen Hadley Hall and 68 Mansfield residents tested their wits and teamwork at Escape New Haven.

Egg Hunt

Kids at Whitehall and Esplanade were treated to egg hunts right in their backyards organized by the children’s programming coordinators.

Seeing Stars

Yale’s Leitner Observatory is open to the public on Tuesday evenings for planetarium shows and telescope viewings.  Many building have taken advantage of this fascinating resources and enjoyed visiting together.

Peabody Backstage Tour

Residents of Helen Hadley Hall and 68 Mansfield St. got a backstage tour of the Peabody Museum, featuring many of the weird and wonderful items living in its permanent collections!

Young Lungs at Play

Pot Luck and Recipe Swap

On Sunday evening residents gathered to swap recipes and compete in Yale Housing’s annual pot luck and cook-off.  With amazing dishes from all over the world it was truly a memorable feast, but the grand prize went to the vegetarian glass noddle stir-fry!
